I have been a practicing artist for much of my adult life, with time set aside for raising a family.
My work has been exhibited in several single and group shows and my paintings, especially commissioned portraits, are found in many private homes. I illustrated and designed the children’s book “The Longest Game”, which appeared in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
As a fine artist, I paint in pastel and oil, with portraits being a primary focus. I try to keep my work colorful and loose, but realistic enough to capture the uniqueness of each setting and the individual personality of each subject. This area of focus provides me with freedom of colorful, impressionistic painting.
In addition to taking classes at the Providence Art Club, I have taught portraiture classes there as well.
