I try to capture the mood and inspire thoughtful reflection. It is my hope that the viewers do not spend their time trying to figure out who or what the painting represents; rather, my hope is they can relate their own experiences to that which they see in my paintings.
I am continually amazed with nature and the importance of careful, repeated observation to truly appreciate the celebration of nature. Painting affords me the opportunity to be comfortable with chaos by channeling it through visual expression. Ultimately, painting brings me great satisfaction by studying, interpreting and capturing the essence of my environment.
