Night Beats Concert: PAC’s Own Women of Song & Soul
Friday, June 11, 2021 at 7PM
For our final event of our Annual Meeting Celebration our tent is transformed into an exciting, glittering nightclub. We’ll be treated to performances by three very talented singers (and amazing artists!) Angel Dean, Mary Ann Rossoni, and Kelly McCullough. Enjoy your favorite beverage and delicious appetizers as our Women of Song & Soul make this night one that you’ll long remember.
A native of Knoxville, TN, Angel Dean received her BFA from the University of Georgia and her MFA from Cornell University. She spent 15 years in New York City performing and recording for Rounder Records and Diesel Only Records. Angel has written, recorded, and released dozens of songs with her husband, horror writer Jonathan Thomas. Though visual art is Angel’s main focus these days, she has agreed to dust off the ole guitar, warm up her vocal chords, and perform a few of her all-time favorites for her fellow Art Club members.
Kelly McCullough is an oil painter and artist member of the Providence Art Club. She has also been playing bass guitar in various bands since the ripe old age of fifteen, mainly playing other people’s music in genres such as rock, dance, and reggae. Kelly dabbles on acoustic guitar and piano and has written many melancholy little ditties that she performs primarily for her cats. Kelly is honored to be invited to share this side of her creative spirit with her friends and cohorts at the Providence Art Club.
Performing songwriter Mary Ann Rossoni turns her affinity for ordinary people into beautiful and lyrical portraits of people in moments of meaning and discovery. After 30 years of touring nationally and seven recordings, she continues to play finger-style guitar, sing with a slightly smokey songwriter’s voice. Mary Ann is now back to her roots with the release of her newest album and her first acoustic recording, Edentown – a collection that presents her voice, her guitar, and her most personal songs as written.
