Call for Entry:
Members’ Miniatures
An Exhibition of Tiny Art
Size Limit: 10″ x 10″ (including frame)


Works Due by March 3
Drop off dates: March 1, 2, and 3
12-4pm weekdays

Exhibition Overview:

Exhibiting Artist Members are invited to submit one artwork to the Members’ Miniatures Exhibition 2021. Works in all media are welcome. Works may be no larger than 10″ in any direction, including the frame. All works must be available for purchase, with a 25% commission. There is no price cap on this show. Work must be recent and not previously shown in a members’ exhibition. All submissions must be original and may not utilize published photographs. Giclee prints or other reproductions of original artworks are not acceptable. Diptychs, triptychs, etc. are also not allowed. Submissions must be properly prepared for installation.

To Participate Artists Must:

  1. Read the full call for entry below.
  2. Complete in full our special online entry form before dropping off.
  3. Submit a JPEG image of their submission to before dropping off. Do not email your image to Michael.
  4. Label the back of your art with your name and the title before dropping off.

Digital Images (Due by March 1):
We plan to create an online component for this show. Please email hi-res JPEG image of your work to Please title your email “Members Miniatures Image” and include your name and the title of the work in the body of the email. Your image should be labelled LastName_FirstName.jpg. Do not email your images to Michael. They must be emailed to by March 1.

Due to current staffing limitations, we are not able to provide photography assistance. All artists are responsible for their own photography. If work is under glass, we strongly recommend you photograph it before framing. A clear smartphone photo is fine.

Please be considerate of what a large undertaking each exhibition catalogue is. We can only create virtual exhibition components if all artists follow our directions.

Exhibition Dates: March 8 – March 25 in Dodge House Gallery

Open to Exhibiting Artist Members only, one submission per artist. No diptychs, triptychs, etc. Works in all media are welcome. All works must be listed for sale, with the Art Club taking a 25% commission. There is no price cap, but prices must be listed.

Size limit is 10” x 10”, including the frame. Works may not exceed 10″ in any direction, and may not weigh more than 100lbs. Remember, the theme of this show is miniatures…

Works must be properly prepared for installation. Works on paper must be framed and under glass, and works on canvas should be framed or must be displayed on gallery wrapped canvas. Works should be wired securely with D-Rings. We realize that due to the small scale of this show D-Rings may not work in all cases. If you feel a different hanging apparatus is more appropriate for your work, you must have it approved in advance by the gallery manager. Paintings that are wet to the touch will not be accepted.

Submission and Delivery
(Images Due by March 1, Art Due by March 3):

All artists must fill out the online entry form in advance of drop off, must email a JPEG image of their work to in advance of drop off, and must label the back of their work with their name and the title of the piece in advance of drop off. We have discontinued use of paper entry forms in the gallery. If you do not complete these three simple steps in advance, your work will be turned away.

Drop off will take place March 1 – 3 during gallery hours only (weekdays 12-4pm). Works must be delivered to a member of the gallery staff and may not be left unattended at the Club. If you would like to deliver your work in advance of these dates or outside of gallery hours, please schedule an appointment to do so with Michael Rose. He will be happy to assist!

Packing Material:
We cannot store packing material. If your packing material is precious to you, please take it home at time of drop off. Packaging left with artworks will be disposed of and will not be returned. If a work is particularly fragile and needs to remain wrapped until installation, please inform the gallery manager and he will be happy to accommodate you.

The Art Club reserves the right to reject works that are improperly prepared or that otherwise do not meet our standards at the discretion of the Art Committee and Gallery Manager.

Removal of Work:  March 30, 31 and April 1, weekdays 12-4pm. Please make every effort to pick up your work in a timely manner. The Art Club has very limited storage space. Works left at the Club will become subject to a storage fee at the discretion of the Gallery Manager and Art Committee.

Insurance: The Art Club carries a blanket policy covering fire and theft, but not breakage. The insurance value is considered 2/3 of the sale price, but no entry is insured for more than $250. For works of higher values we strongly encourage artists to provide their own insurance.
