The National Open Juried Exhibition 2025

A view of the National Open Juried Exhibition 2025

Each summer the Art Club hosts a competitive National Open Juried Exhibition that welcomes non-member artists from across the nation to exhibit in the organization's historic galleries. This year's show was open to work in all media, themes, and styles. The juror was curator Dr. Jane Dini of the Norman Rockwell Museum. On view across two galleries in the Clubhouse, the show is a great opportunity to explore work by a range of contemporary makers. From ceramics and collage to paintings, drawings, and photographs, there is something for every taste.

In Dodge House Gallery on the ground floor of the Club, a two-person exhibition highlights PAC Exhibiting Artist Members Ruth AB Clegg and Marilyn Saabye with a focus on natural forms. Ruth earned her BFA at University of Rhode Island and is a professional photographer and deeply involved arts advocate. She currently serves as President of Art League Rhode Island. In the show, she is sharing recent photographic work alongside paintings that mix oil and cold wax. Marilyn earned her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and had a lengthy career in the advertising field as an illustrator and photo stylist. Her characteristic palette knife paintings are award-winning and show off her keen sense for breathtaking light and color.
