Tony Ramos currently lives in Southern France and holds a fine arts degree from Southern Illinois University and a masters degree from California Institute of the Arts. He was the recipient of a Rhode Island Council for the Humanities Grant, a Rockefeller Foundation Grant and is an Aspen Fellow at the Aspen Institute in Colorado. He was a visiting professor at the Rhode Island School of Design; the San Francisco Art Institute; the University of California, Los Angeles; the University of California, San Diego; the American Center, Paris, France; and the Universite de Paris VIII.
